Privacy Policy

At SenangStay, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.

1. Data We Collect

We collect information to provide better services to our users. This includes:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and phone number when you register as an owner.
  • Business Details: Company name, registration number, and property addresses for your homestays.
  • Google Account Data: If you enable Google Calendar Sync, we create and manage a dedicated calendar (named "Homestay - [your property name]") in your Google account to hold your booking events. We do not access, read, or modify any other calendar in your Google account.

2. Use of Google User Data

SenangStay's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere toGoogle API Service User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use your Google Calendar data specifically to:

  • Create a dedicated secondary calendar in your Google account, named after your homestay property.
  • Add, update, and remove booking events on that dedicated calendar only, so your bookings stay visible alongside your other calendars.

SenangStay never accesses, reads, or modifies your primary calendar or any other calendar in your Google account. Public holiday data shown in the app comes from a public, unauthenticated Google holiday feed and does not require or use your Google account access.

We do NOT sell your Google user data to third parties, nor do we use it for advertising purposes.

3. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Google User Data

SenangStay does not share, transfer, sell, rent, or disclose your Google user data to any third party, including advertisers, data brokers, or our AI service provider.

Your Google Calendar data is:

  • Processed exclusively by SenangStay's own backend systems, hosted on our private VPS infrastructure.
  • Never transmitted to, or processed by, any AI/ML model or generative AI feature (see Section 4 below).
  • Never accessed by any employee, contractor, or sub-processor other than what is strictly necessary to operate the Calendar Sync feature described above.

We may disclose limited account information only where required to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SenangStay, our users, or the public. Such disclosures never include Google Calendar content.

4. AI Features (Separate from Google User Data)

SenangStay uses Google's Gemini API (model: Gemini 2.5 Flash) as a third-party AI integration for two features only:

  • Generating marketing descriptions for a homestay listing, using only the property name and address entered directly by the owner.
  • Extracting school holiday dates from a PDF document uploaded directly by an admin.

This AI processing is fully isolated from Google Sign-In and Google Calendar Sync. No Google user data obtained through OAuth is ever sent to, stored by, or used by the Gemini API or any other AI/ML model.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your Google OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored securely.

6. Your Rights

You can revoke SenangStay's access to your Google account at any time through the Account Settings page or via yourGoogle Security Settings.
